James was born in Croydon in the late 80s. At the age of 2 he moved to Dagenham in Essex and attended Beam Primary School. It was here, whilst taking part in school plays James found out how much he enjoyed performing and started going to a stage school at the weekends from the age of 7. At 11 James got his first professional jobs in the west end shows whistle down the wind and then Les Miserables the following year. His TV credits include Fresh, The Bill, Holby City, Sold, Skins and Teachers. He is mostly known for playing fowl mouthed compulsive liar Jay in E4s award winning sitcom, The Inbetweeners.

James has started working on the internet sit com Fresh! for the bbc and will be a seven part series aired in 2009

6.12.08 - "The Inbetweeners Best New Comedy"
The Inbetweeners won the Best New Comedy at the british comedy awards. Simon Bird also collected Best New Male

1.12.08 - "The Inbetweeners Series 2;
James has started working on the second series of The Inbetweeners which will be aired 2009

29.05.08 - "The Inbetweeners DVD"
The DVD for the hit comedy The Inbetweeners will be realeased on Monday the 2nd of june

28.05.08 - "Xfm"
On the 1st of June James will be a guest star on Xfm in the afternoon. Listen for news on The Inbetweeners DVD

05.05.08 - "Fresh"
James has finished filming the new sit com Fresh for BBC iPlayer which will be shown late summer 2008
